Welcome to Zucker Marine online

As a tribute to the hours and dedication of Al Sr., Al Jr., and Jack Zucker along with all of the great employees and friends of Zucker Marine, this website was created.  Hopefully, the site will bring back fond memories and allow everyone to share in the success of the business known as Zucker Marine.

We look forward to hearing your stories and sharing your pictures with others.

I started buying parts from them in the mid 60’s–I was 15. I had bought 2 used boats from Bert , and in 1976, bought a 20 ft Sea Ray –(new)–it had a 233 hp motor and would go 50!!–also bought a 22 foot 1979 sr and 3 more new boats ending in 1985. I started selling Ski Nautique boats in 1986 and became one of the largest dealers!! I miss the good old days and the Zucker boys. Oh, I even traded them a corvette for a boat!!

Hi–after writing the above comments, I remembered a few things..I dealt with Bruce in parts, Fred a salesman, Joe in service , Gary a mechanic, and many more that I can not remember names. I remember that my new Sea Ray 200, (1976) cost $9900 including the cover and trailer!–I also bought a new 85 hp Mercury outboard in 1973–it cost a whopping $1188!! Whenever I would go into the store, my 2 dogs came with me–a poodle and a chihuahua–everybody liked my dogs. Zucker marine had good customer service–something very lacking today. God Bless, R-O

As a child, I remember often walking into the showroom in Bainbridge Township, Ohio and wandering around the large boats.

You didn’t mention Al’s brother, Carl Zucker, who joined Al in the thirties and later ran the west side store in Rocky River until his death in 1956. I remember they carried Lyman and Arkansas Traveler boats and Johnson outboard motors. During WW2 Carl served by teaching marine engine operation and maintenance to servicemen down in Columbus.

    Hello!
We have a late 50’s 16.5’ Lyman runabout we have owned since the late 60’s. As far as I know we are the 2nd owners We still have zucker marine floating bobber on the key lanyard. I have restored the Lyman and it’s bringing enjoyment to us in the Adirondacks. I’d love to post a picture of the boat and the Zucker Marine float!

Thank you for putting this site together. I remember Zucker Marine so well. I grew up in Bainbridge, Twp., and lived in Lake Lucerne. It was such an exciting adventure to ride my bike to the store and look at the boats. I think our neighbor, Wayne Lurch, bought his Sea Ray from Zucker, and I too remember the folks that worked there. I had the privilege of working there one summer as a boat detail person. A great store, that even today when I go by the buildings when I visit my mother, I can see them in my mind and know that there was once a great dealership there. I was sad to see them leave.
